Fresh Prince of Big Air
Nike Snowboarding is dropping some serious heat this season with their 2010 outerwear collection. One pieces that stands out is The Rosewood jacket, which has an early 90’s athletic feel to it, but way more technical than rocking a Starter Anorak. It comes equipped with 10,000mm waterprood 2-Layer Oxford fabric, fully taped seams, powder skirt with Jacket to Pants Interface system and Recco™ to keep everything safe in the backcountry. Sweatshirt style hood and swagger with a colorway Michael Jordan would approve of. MSRP $200, available at Nike Snowboarding retailers

Hamburgers Not Included
It’s part facemask, part beanie and unlike anything we’ve sen before. Keep that upper portion of your face warm while you’re doing what you’re doing. Whatever that may be. Just don’t walk into any banks any time soon.

686 x You
Designing outerwear is a lengthy process that is often overlooked once we see the finished product on store shelves. A lot of thought and research go into each and every piece and that jacket you’re wearing probably went through numberous design revisions in board rooms before it ended up looking how it is. 686 Outerwear is allowing everyone the opportunity to take part in this process. They’re running a design contest where you can mock-up 686 jacket and pant concepts and colorways. One winner will be chosen to have their design custom made, with the possibily of it being included in a future collection. Get your Illustrator on and get cracking, the contest ends Novermber 1, 2009. More information at 686 Outerwear.

Some of the more interesting backpacks come from the collaborative efforts of Japan’s Head Porter and Burton Snowboards. Their SS09 collection does not disappoint, offering two distinct backpacks. The Emphasis pack and the slightly larger AK 23L. Both available in some choice colorways.
