Dropping at SIA
A new goggle line has been announced from glove manufacturer DROP MFG for the 2010/2011 season. DROP’s introductory line features six high-performance goggles offered in a variety of prints and colorways. Models include the ESPI, Laax and Helio for men, SPR MDL and Rocker for women, and Ripper for kids. Additionally, two special-edition “DROP Pure Inspiration” (DPI) series goggles will be offered from artists Andy Jenkins and Bigfoot.

Artist Series
Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design collaborated with Oakley to develop a special edition O Frame goggle for the Japanese market. The goggle comes in two colorways and sports a new Iridium lens with a green tint. The Fragment logo is present on the strap and etched into the lens as well. One of the most noticeable features is the motocross-inspired nosepiece for added protection against the elements. The goggles come in a special Fragment designed goggle case, and can be bought at the Honeyee online store for 23,100 yen.

Get Lifted
L-R-G and Oakley have collaborated on a limited edition A-Frame Goggle that will release in two colorways. The limited edition purple L-R-G Oakley Goggle features L-R-G Interlocking Trees all-over printed on the frame and the L-R-G logo is laser-engraved on the lower corner of the Black Iridium lens. As well, the black limited edition L-R-G Oakley goggle gets a mirror-polished black frame finish combined with a special Gold Iridium lens, featuring an etched L-R-G landscape detail across the entire lower edge of the lens. This model will also include an additional replacement lens with the smaller L-R-G logo laser-engraved in lower corner. Both L-R-G designed editions are coordinated with matching straps bearing L-R-G x Oakley logos on opposite sides.

KR AKA KRINK has once again collaborated with the snowboard industry, this time with Smith Optics on a special signature goggle and helmet pack. Each goggle and helmet pack includes five different KRINK K-42 markers. Available this season at select Smith retailers.

GASP
Italian goggle company Gordini is set to release their Gordini Artist Series Project. Curated by Driven Studio and set to release for Fall/Winter 2009/2010,
The limited-edition goggles feature artwork by some prominent artists and designers, one of which being Dave Kinsey, who will have two versions of a goggle released for the GASP.
