One of the unique things about their company is that they have a consumer-driven business model, by turning to the snowboarding community for their experience and expertise, Ride Qi aims to design and deliver products by riders for riders.

Old School
Back in the day when adidas owned the Salomon Group they had all kinds of access to all kinds of crazy things. These are a pair of adidas Snowboard boots modelled after the adidas Originals Forum mid sneaker, one of the best sneakers to get down in back in the day. The boot was most likely derived from a Salomon boot platform, but all the styling goes to adidas Originals. 50 pairs were created for VIPs and friends of adidas, with no other pairs expected to be made after that.

AW 09/10
Nikita Outerwear is hitting hard for the ladies with a big offering for their AW 09/10 season. There is more choice this season with twelve completely different outerwear jackets and eleven pants to choose from, completed to include new breathable and anti-bacterial first and warm mid-layers. New fabrics, colours and cuts have been explored and the intro of six mid-layer fleeces, fully breathable and tech inspected. “Wild On The Hill, Mild On The Street”

With Nike ACG’s 20th anniversary in full-swing, we’ve been seeing a lot of retro footwear being re-released over the year. Let’s not forget some of the new models that they are releasing as well, soon to be future classics like the Zoom Ashiko Flywire Boot, shown here in a Total Orange colorway. The boot utilizes Nike’s new flywire technology for support on those long hikes back to you car in the parking lot. Available from Nike retailers for MSRP $180.

Free Download
Skullcandy have just released their first iPhone application. A joint venture with several service providers, iPhone users can now get the latest snow conditions, find a skate park, and listen to free streaming music. The app also features video from Skullcandy TV, a dealer locator feature to find the nearest shop that carries Skullcandy goods, and a mobile Skullcandy store to buy product on the go. It’s a free download for iPhone and iPod Touch uses.

Fresh Prince of Big Air
Nike Snowboarding is dropping some serious heat this season with their 2010 outerwear collection. One pieces that stands out is The Rosewood jacket, which has an early 90′s athletic feel to it, but way more technical than rocking a Starter Anorak. It comes equipped with 10,000mm waterprood 2-Layer Oxford fabric, fully taped seams, powder skirt with Jacket to Pants Interface system and Recco™ to keep everything safe in the backcountry.
