Nike Snowboarding Shoe Shine Show 2012



Shine on
Nike Snowboarding hosts a special art show every year at the SIA. This year 12 teams from around the globe will be showcasing their talent by re-appropriating their vision into the canvas that is the Zoom Force-1. Here is a taste of what is to come from Photographer Jeffery Garland, who documented one of the twelve team’s process from start to finish. More great photos can be seen on his website. Burton Snowboards History Wall



They used to make guns here
Burton Snowboards, being one of the main innovators and pioneers of snowboarding, has a rich history and heritage surrounding it as a company. Over the last 30+ years they have crafted the direction of snowboarding through their efforts in R&D and production, as well as through the development of the sport as a culture and lifestyle. This season Burton has introduced the History Wall, a microsite showcasing their board design throughout the years. From the Backhill in ’77 all the way to the current re-introduction of the Mystery, all of Burton’s design achievements can be seen chronologically through the History Wall microsite.

O’Neill Explore Jones Insulator Jacket



Keeping you Hot on the Mountain and in the Streets.
A mix of style and tech, O’Neill got together with artist Mike Ennen to design the graphics for big mountain snowboarder Jeremy Jones’ signature jacket, the O’Neill Explore Jones Insulator. The all over print designed by Ennen, is inspired by the Fairweather Mountain Range in Alaska.

Created using eco-friendly materials, including recycled polyester, the O’Neill Explore Jones Insulator features fully taped seams and articulation, recco avalanche rescue system, and firewall ergonomic insulation able to withstand all temperatures. The Explore Insulator is a perfect balance of style and substance for exploring the mountain season. Available online from O’Neill.

Spy Optic x PUSH for The Seventh Letter Platoon Goggles



Stylish Optics
Goggle manufacturer Spy Optic teamed up with artist PUSH of the Los Angeles-based The Seventh Letter to produce a stylish version of the brand’s Platoon Snow Goggle. The goggles feature 100% UV protected impact-resistant lenses and Spy’s patented anti-fogging venting system. The goggles are available through Spy Optic’s online store, and come with an additional lens and PUSH keychain.

Burton X adidas Originals Vulc Mid KZK



Slope Style
Another Burton x adidas Originals collaboration in the pipe, by Japanese designer Kazuki Kuraishi. The Vulc Mid KZK in the chukka boot style that will keep you looking good off the slopes. Available in dark grey or brown from at Burton and adidas Originals shops. More looks after the jump.

The Newport jacket features the signature style of WK Interact. Look for it to be released alongside the DH2 board, and Westlake and Belltown pants this season.

Nike Snowboarding Presents: Shoe Shine Show



At the SIA – January 28th
The show will feature art from Mark Dean Veca, Bigfoot, Stash, Jeff Proctor, Arbito, Casey Burns, Ben Tour, Corey Smith, Julian Smith, Matt Donahue, Emmanuelabor and Damion Triplett. Headlining the music portion of the show… DIPLO! Show is at the Summit Music Hall. Doors open 9pm. You would absolutely need a ticket to get in, some are available at the Nike Snowboarding booth at SIA, so if you are there, check it out.

Limited Edition DROP Artist Series Gloves & Goggles



DPI
The 2010/11 season marks the third installment of the DROP Pure Inspiration (DPI) Series which is a tribute to creative individuals who inspire DROP through their artistic pursuits.  For this year’s exclusive DPI Series product offering, DROP has proudly teamed up with two world-class masters: Andy Jenkins and Bigfoot.  Featuring custom graphics on the frame and strap, both artists put their creative stamp on DROP’s new top-of-the-line ESPI goggle which has innovative “Supreme Fit” memory foam technology built in.  Plus, as an extension of his goggle creation, Andy Jenkins also customized DROP’s new high-performance 1080p pipe/park glove.
